Alena, take advantage of OBJ and FBX version, they are now available for download. 3ds max ninth version, which, as we know, you have installed, must accept these formats without any problems. You can try to use this model in the skin material taken with any other model, if desired can not be found. By the way, for 3ds max FBX format is preferred😉

Thank you! You know better🙂 ps: why the exported 3ds file stores materilov without adding them to the material editor my scene (which is convenient), and obj does not store material exported models in general ?? what is the reason?

The fact that when you open the file MAX materials are loaded directly into the material editor - it's just characteristic of the native format, and this happens only when, while maintaining, in the material editor materials present. This is logical, because would not like working with a stage once again to download it and take a "pipette" all necessary materials each time. But in all other cases, in universal formats including materials stored and assigned to only the most 3d models to which they are applied. How, in fact, it happens to the formats 3DS and FBX. OBJ itself has no support of any materials. It can refer to the accompanying MTL file, which will be material. But, unfortunately, keep this most the MTL, as does the OBJ is not so simple, and does not manage to keep each model so that it is opened in the whole software is equally well. The most disappointing here is that even the same 3ds max can not normally import the model that he himself had exported before that. Therefore it is necessary to keep in OBJ, so to speak, its raw form, to the maximum number of users able to import it and were not confused some strange materials.
