To put one object to another, easier than solely by means of 3ds Max 🙂 simple example. There is a table and a vase. The goal is to establish a clear vase on the table. For this vase placed in the desired zone on a table top. Then, without removing the allocation from the vase, you press Alt + A. The cursor changes appearance, becomes like a cross purpose with two cubes next. Now you click the cursor on the table. Then appears Align tool box, - Align Selection: The essence of the Align tool to align objects relative to one other in three koorinatam XY Z. Now we are interested in the position of alignment Align Position. It is not difficult to guess that in this case, the vase is the current object (Current Object), and the table - target (Target Object). It is also quite clear that after we moved our vase in the right area of the table, that is how we have aligned in the X and the Y, we needed to put a clear vase on top of the table. That is to combine a minimum (Minimum) vase with a maximum (Maximum) on the axis Z. table After you have done all the steps described above and illustrated in the screenshot, PUSH OK. That's it, is strictly vase on the table. Actually, similar as possible and center the vase on the table, simply by aligning centers (Center) of these objects Align tool in the X and Y 🙂

And what has caused the alidzhn that sometimes does not work properly, well, like stuck in the middle while the parameters exhibited minimum or maximum although most do not even objects a group, that's the problem with the group ever)😁

Artem, Target for Align is always an object, not a group. In other words, if you you click on the Target Group, the goal becomes not the whole group, and that particular object in the group, which you have (although it meant the whole group) 👌

Hello! Allocates tile object, come Tools => Align ... => Normal Align »(hotkey Alt + N). After that click on the tile surface, buyout you want prialaynit the wall. Then that click on the wall. Voila .. prialaynilas tiles to the wall in spite of its "complex" degree. 😁

Hello. There is a script "mipoll Placement" on the placement of objects. Download and get acquainted with his work, you can then: http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/mipoll-placement

Again faced with a problem of all of the above methods do not work to the object binds but crookedly with what it can be connected? and the whole scene with almost all objects crooked works ALIGN and mipoll Placement 🙄 All earned just when the orientation is on the object and not on the World to create all sorts of angles alidzhin then wraps. like in this case it was🙂 Use selection centr even if it affects a group of objects
