Hello! Actually, the question is this: We need to create material for v-ray, simulating a printed image on the metallized film (Example - a label on metal): The enclosure can be seen that the blue background is printed on the metal without podkladyvaniem whitewash. This effect you want to achieve. But in my case, it is necessary to make a metallized not some one solid color and some bitmap mask. I believe that the need to use VRayBlendMtl, but how to make friends with a metal screen - I can not think of, and the search results are not returned .. Thank you.

Hello! To be honest, it is not clear what is actually wrong? You yourself, in fact, answered the question. Yes, you need to use a composite material, such as standard or VRayBlendMtl Blend. Create content metallized film (chrome with a bruising card to the realism). Create content label that you want to put on the metal. You do b & w the mask, which indicates where the metal band, and where the paint area. Then, in one slot hood metal mat invest in another mat ink (package design) and the slot mask, b & w map: That's all.

And in this situation when using the mask to get a clear image of the divided - part metal and part of the paint. and I need to overlay .. Multiply like in Photoshop to paint lay directly on metal. Or maybe you need to do a mask in addition to black and white, use 50% black, so that the image and the metal united.

Of course😁 Who does not give you blur the mask? Of course, opacity is black, and the degree of gray - transparency, etc. Moreover, if you can not adjust the gradient of gray, you can not catch the color, as do metallic reflections on the design material. What is the problem? It is not necessary to do "honest" material. He should look, and how you will achieve this - it is not important for the final result😉
