Good day! Very often I find solution to the problems with the visualization in your posts. Here again there is a problem. without your help that I can not solve. Things are so. About 3-4 months as I became interested in 3d-modeling. Favor 3ds max 2011, vray 2.0 (license). That's a problem. Download the model, it would add to the native model, but she always black, even though I have the materials, etc. Tell me what to do? Prompt, very pleasant to me this thing

Hello! The problem is evident in the normals of the model element. The fact is that in addition to the fact that the face is a polygon on certain peaks, it has another option such as the normal (normal) direction (normal), then where it "looks" (facing). For some reason, this model Nome guns were turned inward. Most often, this happens when you import. Sometimes, even when modeling a situation arises where the normal model turned out. With the new Nitrous viewport engine has become more difficult to identify such a situation, since nitros shows black twisted faces , as does DirectX. But usually render all becomes clear. In short, this is not a problem at all - of course need to wrap normal. Normal vyvorachivyutsya or check Flip Normals modifier Normals Modifier, or Flip button on the selected faces in objects Editable Poly and Editable Mesh.

Hello! such a problem: the objects are displayed like "inversion", ie objects climb back to the fore .. what to do?

Hello!

Apparently, you did not do this model, and just downloaded it on the Internet, not even possible in * .max format and in some, OBJ or 3DS, and then imported into 3ds Max and she importnulas with flipnutymi normals. Now you instead of the front of the polygon with a texture, you can see its transparent bekfeys . So what to do is the same as in the previous case, invert the normal ranges😉

Alex M, perspective (user view) looks the same? if not, then there may be problems with the graphics card (software) / configuration rendering engine (and play modes direct3d, opengl, etc.)
