Good afternoon. Lord, help me to solve the problem ... The problem is present in all scenes, regardless of the materials, the geometry, the render quality settings, subdivs light sources, etc. I worked for 2014 Max and V-ray 2.40. (Or whatever it was called), I try to install the 2015 max + V-ray 3.00.07 - all remain as before, to reinstall the problem not solved. The bottom line is that if you add the 9th light source in the scene appears uncontrollable noise, which did not turn out to eliminate. Example scenes - 8 light sources: Adding 9th source: Here is such a batch ... tell me what to do?

Hello everybody!

The latest versions of V-Ray, in particular in the third version (about 2.4 just do not know, did not set), a new optimization algorithm miscalculation scenes with a large number of CMV light sources. The gist of it is that when it is activated, then for each pixel in the final rendering stops rendering the illumination of each light source in the scene . Instead, turn on adaptability and new algorithm renderer randomly decides which light sources are taken into account in the calculation of the color (light) of the pixel, and which are not, that is sampled, not all lights, and some random number (which it defines adaptive mechanism this algorithm). Sempliruya (calculating) the illumination of two adjacent pixels different number of lights o can be taken into account, so that even the neighboring pixels to render can be very different in brightness that you see, and as a rash or noise.

The name of this new algorithm - Probabilistic lights .
(Probabilistic in English -. "Probabilistic"šŸ˜‰

It is activated only if the scene includes a light source is installed in more than his only setting. By default, it is just 8 lights o. For this reason, making the 9th light, you see the noise as Ā«Probabilistic lightsĀ» included in the work.

Take away the 9th light source and meaning Ā«Probabilistic lightsĀ» Choose a smaller 8u. Most likely you will get the same noise.

Hey, go to the tab in Viree Global switches. Do you have a point in the Global switches Probabilistic lights in front of the number of lights o. This number is 8 by default. It turns out that when you add 9 source is noise. Probabilistic lights responds just noise. In short, if the number of lights o the scene is huge, then it is necessary to keep it switched on when not enough light sources, it is off. In your case you have to change the number or 8 to 9 (but with the addition of the tenth power, you will again get the noise), or disable this feature altogether.

Good afternoon. Thank you in advance for all the help. I create an architectural highlight of the building. There is a problem that does not solve. I create all types of lamps: VrayIES, either standard FreeSpot, FreeLight. When distributing them on the ground floor, rendering it turns normal. But with an increase in their number, i.e. adding to the second floor, the spot light tuskleet, details are lost as when lowering the white point. The more lights in the scene, the worse the outcome. Setting themselves the result of sources do not provide. Just do not give results and settings of the render. The scene is illuminated among other GI blue. This problem occurs irrespective of the scene or model.

Hey, check whether the checkbox is active Probabilistic Lights if so shootšŸ˜‰

Thank you so much. I was just thinking about the fact that somewhere there is such a restriction, but do not know where it is. Now the problem is solved. šŸ‘
